The hotel looks out over the market square of Tomintoul, a pretty locality nestled between the Cairngorms, in the largest national park in the United Kingdom.

The charming family friendly hotel has a total of 51 rooms and an entrance hall. It has its own relaxing bar and lounge, in which guests may treat themselves to a wee drop of whiskey, and Cromdale's Restaurant, which offers a fine menu. There is parking available for those arriving by car.The Richmond Hotel (a sister hotel on the same street) offers guests of both hotels a relaxed atmosphere and fantastic buffets.
