This hotel lies in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, in the centre of the picturesque village of Newtonmore. Lying amidst a wonderful natural landscape of mountains, forests, river valleys, and the lochs, the hotel is only a few minutes from the best spots in the Highlands such as Loch Ness, Ben Nevis and Inverewe Gardens. Culloden Battlefield is a full daytrip from the hotel. The nearest train station is Kingussie, which lies around 5 km away.

Over the years the hotel has earned an enviable reputation for providing quality holidays and true highland hospitality. Renowned for not only its friendly atmosphere and great food but also guests can enjoy the opportunity to sample many of the finest malt whiskies to which the area is famous. This hotel comprises a total of 84 rooms spread over 2 floors. Facilities include an inviting foyer and a bar. A games room and a breakfast room are also on offer within the hotel.
